Angus Bulls Built for the Commercial Cattleman
Each year, Double Creek Farms offers a set of Angus bulls developed with the commercial cattleman in mind. Our goal is to raise bulls that are functional, sound, manageable, and capable of staying productive for years to come.
We believe a good herd sire should do more than look good on sale day. He needs to go to work, cover cows, handle the conditions he's put in, and leave behind a calf crop that adds value to the operation.
Our annual production sale gives producers the opportunity to evaluate the bulls, visit with our family, and find genetics that fit the needs of their own cow herd.
Bulls Developed to Work
The bulls offered through our production sale reflect the same principles that guide our entire breeding program.
Rather than chasing a single trait, we focus on balanced cattle that can perform in commercial environments. Sound feet and legs, good disposition, fertility, growth, and longevity all play an important role in developing cattle that work for years to come.
Disposition is especially important to us. Calm, manageable cattle are easier to work, create less stress for both cattle and people, and contribute to a more enjoyable working environment. Because disposition is a heritable trait, we believe it deserves careful consideration when selecting a herd sire.
Ultimately, we want our bulls to be practical cattle that fit the environment, complement the cow herd, and continue adding value long after they're turned out.
